OK, let’s take a look at this phrase, which is made up of the adjective reigning and the noun champions. We are all familiar with champions, that is the winners of a competition or a league. So, La Liga champions of 2019 were Barcelona, and the champions in the same year in the Bundesliga were Bayern Munich.
