Arguably the most important signing Nottingham Forest were going to make this January transfer window was for a goalkeeper, and we can confirm that Belgium stopper Matz Sels is now a Red!

The 31 year old signs for Forest on an initial loan deal with an option to buy in the summer from French club Strasbourg.

With numerous names being talked about as potential goalkeeper signings this January, including the Premier League proven Crystal Palace stopper Johnstone, Forest have decided to go with Sels, who is a very good keeper in Ligue 1 and is highly rated by boss Nuno. But is there any concerns about his previous experience in English football when Sels had an underwhelming time at at Newcastle United.
