Today my guest is Allie Ware. Allie is a former Captain of the University of Richmond Women’s Lacrosse Team. She graduated in 2014 and recently returned to the Spiders as the Associate Director of Parent Giving for Athletic Department. She also plays a role directly with Richmond’s new Sports Leadership Development Program: Spiders Lead. We had a great conversation centered around the culture change that happened when the current coach took over Junior year. It really brought to light why leadership is so important to overall success and how success on the field comes after you stop only focusing on the field. We also discuss the importance of servant leadership, some ways that her coach really impacted her as an athlete and as a complete person, two examples of being a great Captain, and more. So now I’ll get out of the way and let you enjoy Allie Ware on another episode of The Captains Coach Podcast.
