The anthology GAMES CREATURES PLAY is out today, April 1 — Sigler Ascension Day! To celebrate the release of this girthy tome, Scott interviews the book’s editors: Charlaine Harris and Toni L.P. Kelner.
Together, this duo has edited seven anthologies. Toni is an Agatha Award-winning mystery author, and Charlaine is perhaps best known as the author of the Sookie Stackhouse series, upon which the HBO show TRUE BLOOD is based.
The trio of authors discuss the GAMES anthology, as well as the challenges involved in getting genre authors — who sometimes have animosity toward athletics and the sports culture — to combine for the great tales included in this collection. Toni and Charlaine also share some of their experiences on growing up well outside the sports culture, and coming to appreciate athletics in their own ways.ABOUT GAMES CREATURES PLAY:
A heavyweight-champ lineup of genre authors kick out tales of paranormal-soaked sports. Click on the cover at left to read more. Scott story in this tome is “Hunter Hunterson & The Case of the Haunted Safeway,” an all-new tale about America’s #1 monster-stompin’ clan.
ABOUT SIGLER ASCENSION DAY:
On April 1, 2007, Scott’s small-press paperback ANCESTOR shocked the world by hitting #1 on Amazon’s SciFi and Horror charts, and was the #2 fiction novel overall only behind a Harry Potter novel. It thereafter and hitherto became associated with Scott’s constant campaign to take over the world, destroy the publishing industry, and kill all of you. Scott’s hardcover debut, INFECTED, was released on April 1, 2008. Every April 1, he tries to release something girthy and juicy.
This global holiday is recognized by the United Nations as a “Super-Important Cultural Day Thingee” and is valid as an excuse to skip work everywhere.
