Running / Walking – Run clubs are all the rage so we chat with Vice President Melbourne Frontrunners Nic Norris about the awesome annual Pride Run on Sunday 22 February 2026 at the Botanical Gardens. Registrations are open for what is a very fun and very colourful morning of connecting! More info Melbourne Pride Run. We also delve into Nic’s running exploits which include a move into triathlon with a commitment to complete an Ironman! (11:37)
Basketball – Melbourne United embraces the NBL’s annual Pride Round for the fourth consecutive year on Saturday the 7th of February 2026 with an exciting home game at John Cain Arena. High flying Dutch dunker Jesse Edwards is live in the JOY 94.9 Sport Studio to talk about why the club celebrates diversity and inclusion in basketball, being an active ally and sharing pro tips on how to dominate on the court with a challenge accepted to attempt a 720 slam dunk! Who is getting their game on as we close the show? This week Ash Riddell,AFLW player with North Melbourne. The runner-up to Adelaide’s Ebony Marinoff last year, this year North Melbourne’s Ash Riddell polled 23 votes to add the League’s highest individual honour to her fifth All-Australian selection. And potentially a back-to-back premiership on Saturday when North Melbourne take on the Brisbane Lions for the AFLW Grand Final. Saturday 29 November. 7.45pm – a night grand final for the first time. We hear part of Ash Riddell’s wonderful speech after being announced AFLW 2025 Best And Fairest! (37:36)
