SERIES: “GOING OLD SCHOOL”

The time of the kings was difficult for the nation of Israel, by this point broken up into two kingdoms: the northern kingdom of Israel (also called Samaria) and the southern kingdom of Judah. Almost all of the kings of Israel did “evil in the eyes of the Lord.” That wasn’t always the case with the southern kingdom. This sermon series will examine one of the latter kings of Judah, King Hezekiah, who in effect “went old school” in terms of His leading the southern kingdom to do “right in the eyes of the Lord.” The prayer for this series is that by examining what Hezekiah did right, how he survived crises, and what he did wrong, that you and I might be inspired to also go “old school” in terms of our practices.
