In this episode of The Encouraging Word, Pastor Eric reflects on the meaning of God’s justice within the life of redemption. Many people experience the idea of divine justice as something frightening or oppressive — a threat hanging over human life.

But Scripture presents God’s justice differently.

God’s moral order is not designed to harm us, but to sustain life, protect goodness, and preserve what is right. Justice is not merely punishment — it is the structure that allows love, trust, and flourishing to exist.

The cross reveals that God does not abandon moral order to show mercy. Instead, He upholds justice while extending grace. In doing so, God demonstrates that His rule is both righteous and compassionate.
