We all have a hole in our heart. Laurie shares how she tried to fill the normal desires of being seen, heard, and loved in the wrong places and soon found herself as a Christian in a same-sex relationship putting her at a crossroads of coming out as a lesbian atheist or committing suicide.

She describes her non-church acceptable idols and how she discovered God’s love and His power to transform her life. Yet the battle wasn’t over as she found herself marrying Matt, who also struggled with sexual brokenness and, after six years of marriage, told her that he had been lying about his unwanted sexual behaviors.
