Welcome to Episode 341. In this episode we’re joined by popcultureleftovers.com TV & Film reviewer Stephanie Chapman. This episode is a wreck. Later in the episode my power goes out so we cut this one short as I had a terrible storm here while recording. Honestly, this episode is a terrible storm in itself so my apologies to anyone who listens to this one all the way through.

Anyway, in Good Pop Bad Pop this week in Movies we talk about the new Netflix film The Old Guard based on the comic book by Greg Rucka starring Charlize Theron where a covert team of immortal mercenaries are suddenly exposed and must now fight to keep their identity a secret just as an unexpected new member is discovered. Brian gives his thoughts on the new Tom Hanks film Greyhound. Stephanie and Brian discuss The Beach House the new Shudder Original Movie and a new basketball documentary that details the career of NBA player Stephon Marbury in A Kid From Coney Island. Brian also talks about the new A24 film First Cow as well as a Duplass Brothers Production from 2014 The One I Love starring Mark Duplass and Elisabeth Moss now available to stream on Netflix. And we all give our thoughts on the new Hulu Original Movie Palm Springs starring Andy Samberg and Cristin Milioti that gives a new comedic spin to movies that take a Groundhogs Day approach.

In TV Brian talks about finally getting around to F Is For Family Season 4. Brian and Stephanie discuss Close Enough on HBO Max the new J.G. Quintel (Regular Show) adult animated series. Brian gives his thoughts on the first episode of Amy Schumer’s Expecting Amy on HBO Max. And Brian briefly discusses The God of High School on Crunchyroll.

In News Chris Hemsworth is still on board to do that Hulk Hogan biopic. The Halloween Kills trailer dropped this week. And Ryan Gosling, Leigh Whannell and Blumhouse are teaming to do a Wolfman remake.

In Marvel News it looks like Florence Pugh will indeed be taking over the mantle of Black Widow.

And in DC News we discuss the announcement of a Gotham PD series set in the world of Matt Reeves The Batman to premiere on HBO Max.
