As a native of Michigan, Rick Bartrand enjoys spending his time outdoors in the peaceful company of trees and enjoying wildlife photography or writing about his experiences and the insightful wisdom he has gained from them.
Because of his passion for exploration and learning new things, Rick has held many titles in his vocational pursuits, all the way from flipping fast-food burgers to owning his own businesses in graphic design, signage, photography, handyman services, and helping those in need of a thought coach.
Rick has also been employed as an over-the-road truck driver, maintenance, supervisory positions in manufacturing warehouses, construction, various other odd jobs, and everything in between. Rick also served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy as an aircrewman on a combat support helicopter.
These pursuits have given him a tremendous amount of experience to pull from regarding critical thinking and charting out new territories to explore. One of those territories inadvertently ended up being writing.
After around 20+ years of journaling to just get what was stored in his head out into the open, the title of "writer/author" finally took hold and quickly rose to the surface of pursuits, which led him to write his first book entitled, "Bite Size Life Lessons" Modern-day proverbs.
This sparked the smoldering fodder of experiences into a raging forest fire of future titles that number just under 20 and counting. Needless to say, he has his newly found passion cut out for him, which also includes speaking engagements and organizing a curriculum to teach those who are pursuing self-improvement.
