How often in our lives do we deal and experience difficult people who hurt us, wrong us, and frustrate us? Even people who hurt us can be shown compassion, empathy, and kindness. It’s not easy, but it’s a way to start the path to acceptance and forgiveness. Showing compassion and kindness to those who wrong us or hurt us isn’t about being a pushover or complacent. It’s a way to deepen our understanding that everyone is human and ultimately wants the same thing, happiness, even if the way they’re going about it is wrong or unjust. This guided meditation practice uses loving kindness, or metta meditation, to invoke feelings of compassion and empathy to difficult people. If we can show love to these people, we can show love to anyone. This guided meditation practice is from our app, Declutter The Mind.
