A mother in Texas was forced to protect her children from a man who broke into her house. The home invader ignored warnings from the woman and fled after he was shot. Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Deputies responded at around 9:15 p.m. Oct. 25 to reports of a burglary in the 5500 block of Nardo Street in rural Edinburg, Texas. The homeowner told police she warned the suspect the police had been called and that she had a gun. The man still tried to get into the bedroom after refusing to leave, she said.
