Beloved when Jesus died, He had no doubt about where He was going. His body remained on the cross until it was taken down and laid in the tomb, but His spirit went immediately into the presence of His Father in heaven. Beloved when a believer dies, his or her spirit goes into the immediate presence of God. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord, so whatever happens to your body, your spirit is safe in the Father’s hands. Beloved your body may be ravaged with cancer, mutilated in an accident, and never recovered. But the soul of a believer will be safe in the Father’s hands. 

 

Jesus said, “I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me is greater, than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand (John 10:28-29).

Listen beloved Jesus hung on the cross for six hours and what He accomplished in these hours changed the world. He said Father forgive them, and when you believe in Jesus, forgiveness will be yours, Jesus said, today you will be with me in paradise and you trust in Him heaven will be yours.
