A high school teacher in Maryland has been arrested for using artificial intelligence (AI) to create a fake audio recording of his principal, making him sound racist and antisemitic. The teacher, Dazhon Darien, allegedly manipulated the voice of Principal Eric Eiswert. The recording caused significant disruptions at Pikesville High School. Investigations revealed that Darien and Eiswert had a strained professional relationship, with disputes related to work performance and allegations of mishandling school funds. Darien has been charged with disrupting school activities, theft, retaliation against a witness, and stalking. Principal Eiswert is currently on paid administrative leave, and the school district intends to pursue Darien's termination.
