What have you predicted lately and how did it turn out?

If you are anything like me, most of the things I have predicted haven't turned out the way I thought they would.

Some of my predictions were emotionally driven and that is not a good way to make predictions. Would you agree?

Suppose I told you that based on a 20-year study and over 2000 couples, it has been predicted that certain behaviors in marriage are 95% more likely to lead to divorce, would you believe me?

Of course, as humans, we cannot accurately foresee what will happen in the future or the possible problems that might arise, but we can have some idea and act accordingly.

Differences between you and your spouse are a given. It is to be expected and celebrated. But if it is seen as "not a good thing" you will try to change that person or get them to almost always agree with you.

And when they don't it leads to one of four behaviors that the study predict will lead to marital erosion and even divorce.

In this episode, you will discover what these 4 predictors are and if you are guilty of any of them, what you can do about them. The author of the study, John Gottman, labeled them "The 4 Horsemen of the Apocalypse.

As you listen, evaluate your behavior and see which of them you or your spouse is guilty of. Be completely honest.
