Hope for Marriage through Prayer and the Impact of Godwinks with SQuire and Louise Rushnell Episode 44

Listen Later

This week, I’m excited to share my conversation with the incredibly talented couple, SQuire and Louise Rushnell! Maybe you remember the days of the popular Schoolhouse Rock series, or are familiar with the term “Godwink”, and perhaps you have had the pleasure of being entertained by Louise with her hilarious comedic impressions!? That is just the beginning of the list of accomplishments from this powerhouse couple!
Our conversation was layered with wisdom, grace, humour, encouragement, and most importantly, pointing everything to the goodness of God in their lives!
You will gain some unique insights into their ministry for couples, called ‘Pray Together, Stay Together.’ We reflected on the importance of praying with your spouse for five minutes a day and watching what God can do to transform your marriage! We discuss how SQuire and Louise met the Lord, their journey into the entertainment industry and their new book called, Godwinks For Moms True Stories.
“With Christ in the centre, we started seeing things happen in our lives that were supernatural, and we wanted to share it with other people, and that’s how it really started!”
-Louise DuArt
“We would talk to people over dinner, visit churches, and they would ask how you do the prayer challenge. We realized that this was a really sincere question. Our culture does not teach husbands and wives to pray together… I’m talking about a conversation between a man and woman and God for as little as five minutes a day, and amazing things happen when you do it!”
-SQuire Rushnell
SQuire Rushnell and Louise DuArt are the founders of Pray Together Stay Together, Inc., which encourages two people—primarily couples—to pray together five minutes a day for forty days. Visit www.praystay.com for more information.
