She also describes some of the merchandise she has created in support of her book series, and her goals to raise money for charities and causes that matter to her: The Humane Society, her dream animal preserve The Happy Place, and to help fund the projects of Young Authors with Life-limiting and Disabling conditions to help them pursue their dreams of writing and publishing their book. Amelie describes her efforts working at the local farmer's market as well as volunteering with the Little Traverse Bay Humane Society, interviewing visitors to the LTBHS Market Stand about their stories of animal adoption.
