Lucious Lyon (Terrence Howard), a former drug dealer now turned hip hop mogul and CEO of Empire Entertainment, learns he has ALS. His life begins to cave in around him after his past sins come back to haunt him following his diagnosis. Lucious, looking to groom one of his three sons Andre (Trai Byers), Jamal (Jussie Smollett), and Hakeem (Bryshere Y. Gray) to take over the family business, pits them against each other. Empire also stars Taraji P. Henson as Lucious' ex-wife Cookie Lyon, the mother of his three sons who is released from prison after serving a 17-year sentence.

In the SERIES FINALE of Empire, Bossy Fest goes down and things get wild. Cookie’s therapist tells her that Loretha might’ve been lost during the search for Cookie, so she begins to struggle with balancing these feelings and her prep for Bossy Fest. To make matters worse, Lucious tells Cookie that he’s going on tour with Yana and also that he actually wrote to her during her time in prison. Cookie’s got no time for his foolishness and instead joins Candace for drinks to celebrate her new talk show. As we move into Bossy Fest, we see amazing performances from Hakeem and Maya, Kash Doll, and even Tiana and Porsha! After this, Luscious ends up changing his mind and tells Yana he won’t be joining her on tour. Yana shares an emotionally-charged performance of Home Is On The Way while we relive our favorite Coocuis moments. When Damon catches Cookie and Yana sharing a heartfelt goodbye after her performance, he ends up shooting Yana, she’s killed, and we were all shook. As Cookie (now Loretha) gets ready for a night out with Candace, Lucious and Damon get into their final epic battle at the Lyon Manor. Loretha comes in at the right time to save Lucious and we end the series with Coocuis and the premiere of The Birth of An Empire, which signifies that the Empire legacy will live on forever.

Coocious Forever - S6 E18 'Empire' After Show

Andre returns from rehab and surprisingly isn’t battling any more demons...or so we thought. Cookie gets into a heated battle with the ASAs crew while Lucious goes to battle with Kelly over control of Empire. Giselle aligns herself with Kelly and we find out their relationship is more than professional. Meanwhile, Hakeem is battling with Maya who won’t give him his annulment while Becky battles with the issues surrounding Bossy Fest. Also, Tiana battles with the feelings she claims she doesn’t have for Hakeem while Porsha battles with the fallout from her fight with Becky. So many more battles happen at Becky’s birthday bash, including a feisty throw down between Tiana and Devon! In the end, Cookie and Lucious win their boss battle against the CEO of the ASAs and Kelly and Giselle! All this and more on the Empire AfterShow!

Bossy Battles - S6 E17 'Empire' After Show

Andre wakes up from a nightmare, but he soon realizes his new reality is so much worse. Cookie and Lucious are forced to commit Andre and Cookie begins to crumble. Meanwhile, Hakeem and Maya wake up to their own nightmare as they discover they got hitched after a drunken night in Vegas. Later, we think Lucious’ mother breaks through to Andre but it turns out Kingsley’s hold on Andre is too strong. Also, Portia and Becky have a boss battle over one of Portia’s tracks. Cookie’s visit to her therapist gives her the revelation that she needs when it comes to her sons and her sisters. And after Andre breaks out of the behavioral facility, he has his own revelation and finally breaks free of Kingsley’s chains. All this and more on the Empire AfterShow!
