What is a content audit?

A content audit is the process of collecting and analyzing your content across your platforms (blog, YouTube, podcast, etc.) and social media channels.

A content audit keeps track of all the content you've created on social media and your platforms. A content audit helps give you insights to improve content that is not resonating with your audience and shows you what your high performing content is.

Step 1: Outline your goals

Before you jump into analyzing which posts performed well and didn't perform well, think about what you want to accomplish.

• Do you want to produce content that's in line with your brand and your content pillars?
• Do you want to create brand clarity across all your posts? (example: if you're a fashion account, you can see fashion reflected in all your posts)
• Do you want to learn what type of content your audience responds to?
