Today I want to talk about Fear and the idea of being fearless. Its been thrown around quite a bit in years prior and I think its messed us up a bit. I have to say, I don’t think being fearless actually exists Think about it, Fearless means- without any fear. If you are a human, with human emotions (which I’m assuming you are if you are taking the time to read this) I don’t think you are capable of have NO fear There is fear in everything, there’s always going to be fear. Its a basic survival instinct. It triggers our intuition to tell us when a situation is good for us or not, it triggers the fight or flight response. Its virtually impossible to not be affected by that emotion. I share my story with how fear paralyzed me from taking action on THIS BLOG for 3 years on the Podcast. So, what do you do with it? Well, I believe there are 2 types of people when it comes to handling fear: We either let fear paralyze us from doing the things we want to do, and should do. We allow ourselves to feel fear, go through those uncomfortable emotions, and allow it to fuel us, and know that that is just a part of the journey. Its not black or white, and you can fall anywhere in between- its a spectrum, but those are the polar opposites. Either you do not take any action, because you are afraid. Or, you know fear exists, but it doesn’t stop you from doing the things you want to do or know you should do. I myself been on complete ends of the spectrum, and I wax and wane in between. I don’t think you’re always at one point, you come and you go. You slide down the scale and you work your way back up. Its a journey. As a child, being super shy, so unsure of herself and so uncomfortable in her own skin. that stopped me from doing a lot of things. As time as gone on, as I’ve experienced more, as I’e stepped even further out of my comfort zone, every time I do that- I work my way up a little bit higher and just knowing that its part of the process. It is a necessary stepping stone in achieving your goals, in taking leaps and action, to getting results. So, if you’re waiting for the day where you are this fearless woman and nothing is going scare you and you are going to blaze through anything you’ve ever wanted to conquer- kinda gotta tell you, that day is never going to come. Don’t get me wrong, you are going to have days where you feel like you can take over the world, and you want to capitalize on those days! Take massive action on those days, because what that is called is inspired action. When you just have this feeling like you know you can do ALL the things- take advantage of it, do those things and create as much as you can! On the days you just cannot and you don’t feel like you are cut out to do it at all… take a step back, know this is part of contrast, focus on getting to a better feeling place, and don’t try to jump to this place of “I need to be a fearless woman and can do all the things,” because you can’t 100%- just part of the time =) On those days you are feeling all the fear, ask yourself “what is it that i’m afraid of?” “Is this really going to happen?’ “What’s my Plan to get over through this?” Raise your vibration and move. At the end of the day, its only one day. It’s okay to tell yourself today sucks and tomorrow you get to start all over again There;s nothing wrong with that. Embrace fear, because it is a part of you. Join me on Instagram for more inspiration, personal growth discussion & writing tips! @journaltheory
