Become a better doubles player by learning how to play each position more effectively. What should you be focused on as a server, returner or net player in a match? How do you use the I-formation to your advantage? In this episode of Everything About Tennis, Kip Brady and I discuss different tips, drills and tricks that you can use to help you improve your doubles game.

This interview was especially cool for me because Kip started giving me private lessons when I was just 4 years old. He was an integral part of my junior tennis development and much of what I teach now are the things I learned from him at an early age.

Kip was an accomplished junior player growing up in Kansas before he earned himself a scholarship to play college tennis at UC Santa Barbara. He received All-American honors during his senior year there and proceeded to compete on the ATP pro tour for a number of years. During his pro career he reached a high ranking of #369 in the world and participated in the qualifying draws at multiple Grand Slams. Currently, he's the Junior Tennis Director at the Jack Kramer Club in Palos Verdes, California where he's been coaching for the past 20+ years. Additionally, last year him and his son Kai reached the finals at the USTA Father/Son Hard Court National Championships in San Diego, CA.
