In church often times success is determined by numbers, but to me it’s did Jesus come?  Did He want to stay? On our own we can do nothing.  The Lord is the one who moves, who touches people, heals them, transforms their life.  We must know His heart and what He is looking to do in His people. We must have history with God!  Do we sit with Him like Mary? Or are we more concerned about being Martha and rushing around to see what we can do for Him in ministry?  In Psalm 84, as they passed through the Valley of Baca, a desert land they made it a place of springs.  How do you make a dry and barren place a place of springs?  Before they left for the courts of God, they had their hearts set on the pilgrimage.  The secret place is being with Him anywhere at any time.  Whether you are in the valley or on the highest mountaintop, you are with Him.  Do we give glory to God in both places?  When times are hard and when they are great, do we give Him glory?
