Description:

Dr. Will Bulsiewicz: Dr. B is a practicing gastroenterologist, prolific podcast guest, microbiome and gut health expert. Dr. B is a graduate of Georgetown University School of Medicine. He trained in Internal Medicine at Northwestern Memorial Hospital and completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of North Carolina Hospitals. He holds a master of Science in Clinical Investigation and a certificate in nutrition from Cornell University. This is a good one; while most guests are open to more personal questions, in this episode, Dr. B opens up about his journey sharing the more vulnerable moments from the highs, lows and detours throughout his training. In this episode we dive deep discussing his path to medicine, why he chose internal medicine and gastroenterology, what it was like doing research in residency, why he took additional classes during residency at night to get a masters degree, and what excites him about medicine. This is a conversation where we get a rare glimpse into the mind of someone who has critically reflected on his past choices and evaluated why medicine is where it is today.
