Mindy Tran had just parked her car at her apartment complex, when suddenly it began to roll. It was rolling slowly down a driveway that led to a busy street below. Mindy knew she had to act quickly because her twin daughters were still buckled inside. Her maternal instincts kicked in, and she threw herself under the car. She acted as a human speed bump of sorts, trying to slow down the car’s movement. She was able to slow down the vehicle enough for one of her neighbors to jump in and stop it completely. Her daughters were not injured in the incident. This brave mom was left with a crushed knee and dislocated leg, but she made a full recovery. When she was interviewed about it later, she said, “My daughters are my everything. I knew it was mine or theirs… I don’t consider myself a hero. I am a mother.”

You know, as much as that mom loved her children, God loves us that much and even more. We who are now God’s children know He willingly laid down His life for us. The Bible tells us there is no greater love than one who lays down their life for their friends. Many of our acquaintances don’t know that. Seriously. Who will you tell about the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ today?
