Hundreds fewer died during lockdown than same time last year - experts

Public health experts say 548 fewer people died during the country's lockdown compared to the same period last year.

Epidemiologists from the University of Otago found the number of deaths dropped most noticeably near the end of Alert Level 4.

Nick Wilson is a Professor of Public Health at Otago University.
