I couldn't finish the episode I planned this week. So I recorded this one instead. That's the whole point of Brain Dump.
While I'm here, I should probably explain what Brain Dump means, because I've been tagging episodes with category names without telling anyone what they are. [Figured Out], [I Tried], and [Brain Dump] are the 3 categories of episode you will get from me.
This one? almost Brain Dump, but accidental [I Tried].
Starting on social media as someone who's never been active on it, with ADHD and an easily triggered dopamine response, is a specific kind of problem. I was checking the apps every 20 minutes on day one to see if the view count went from 10 to 15. It hadn't.
What I tried: deleted the apps entirely, connected analytics to Claude via Windsor AI, and started treating the numbers as data instead of validation. Same numbers. Completely different experience.
The takeaway isn't about the tool. Only systems beat systems.
Time Stamps:
01:30 - The three categories explained: Figured Out, I Tried, Brain Dump
03:30 - The problem: exploring social media without getting consumed by it
05:00 - What I tried: AI tools, Windsor, and deleting the apps
08:00 - The actual experiment: turning validation into analytics
10:30 - Key takeaway: willpower vs. systems
