After seven weeks of investigating, police in Moscow, Idaho have identified a murder suspect in 28-year-old Pennsylvania man Bryan Kohberger, who they suspect of killing the four college students at the University of Idaho. Kohberger was identified by police who were able to match crime scene DNA to a sample submitted by his family member to a genealogy testing site. As Kohberger’s lawyer shared his confidence that his client will not be found guilty, the families of the victims say they are prepared to attend court proceedings in pursuit of justice. Former NYPD Inspector Paul Mauro joins the Rundown to explain how a DNA ancestry database led investigators to the suspect, how valuable the motive will be in the criminal case, and the questions that remain about Bryan Kohberger.
