If Congress Fails to Act on Aid, USDA Has a Money Pot

Congressional negotiators failed to craft a deal on a fourth round of COVID-19 aid on Friday, placing a question mark on aid for the unemployed, businesses and units of government. Agriculture, on the other hand, may still have some wiggle room for aid, according to Pro Farmer's Jim Wiesemeyer with more than $8 billion still unspent in the Coronavirus Food Assistance Program (CFAP) and $14 billion in the Commodity Credit Corporation.
