This week, I sit down with Matt Spahr. Matt is a spray can artist from Pittsburgh, whose been an OG in the game for many years. He is respected by many of the great artists we have in our city. Matt grew up in a world of skateboarding, music, and painting. As most of us do, Matt started doing small drawings and paintings as a young kid. He eventually fell in love with skateboarding and that played a big part in the transition to the world of spray can art and graffiti. I really enjoyed this episode. Graffiti is a strange world that is based off of infamy. It’s really cool to hear the perspective of someone who grew up in a world of being known without actually being known and is now doing great art and being able to show the face of the creator.
