As we learn to be more accepting of our perceived flaws and wounds, we paradoxically relax, let go, and begin to live from a more trusting place. Learning to live with our imperfections means being able to embrace some of the messiness of life. We are all works in progress. None of us is perfect. And that’s perfectly OK.  Often we put conditions on our life. Meaning, “I’ll do X once I’ve done Y.” The problem is these conditions can be perpetual to the point where we never actually get what we truly want. One of the most powerful things we can do in life is to recognize what our hearts most desire, and go after that passionately and without delay.  Extra weight doesn’t always represent unresolved trauma or mean that we’re holding onto something “bad.” Sometimes, the only real problem is the beliefs that we hold about what that weight represents.
