https://psychologyofeating.online/ss/ Are you ready to transform your relationship with food in a lasting and meaningful way? What if you could help others find the path to greater freedom and joy with food as well?   In Session With Marc David: Life Transitions & Letting Go   When it comes to eating challenges, it’s easy to overthink the simple act of nourishing ourselves with food. In this week’s episode, eating psychology expert Marc David works with Juliet, a fitness instructor and graduate of The Mind Body Eating Coach Certification Training. Juliet reports making amazing progress in her struggles with food and body but still finds herself overanalyzing food choices. Tune in as they explore ways for Juliet to find more peace and freedom around food, and embrace a new milestone in her life.    Key Insights:   There is so much information out there about what (and what not) to eat, that it can be difficult to know what’s best for one’s own body.   A great first step in learning to eat more intuitively is letting go of the idea that there is a “right” way to eat. The truth is that every BODY is different and has unique nutritional needs.   Another important early step in adopting a more intuitive eating style is bringing increased awareness to how different foods make your body feel. Do you have energy after eating a certain food? Do you feel light and happy? Or are you sluggish or bloated or moody? These are the kinds of signals your body gives you to communicate what it likes - and what it doesn’t.    As you positively transform your relationship with food, there can be a sort of identity confusion where how you defined yourself previously (as a binge eater or an emotional eater, for example) no longer stands - but you’re not quite sure who the next version of you is yet.    In this way, food and body transformations are part of the overall growth and evolution we experience over a lifetime. We’re often saying goodbye to some aspect of ourselves while welcoming in a new, lesser-known part of our emerging self.   With his dual training in clinical nutrition and psychology, Marc David has spent the last 40 years helping people around the world heal their relationship with food. As the founder of the Institute for the Psychology of Eating, he reaches millions each year through his books, speaking engagements, celebrated podcast series, and his internationally-acclaimed Mind Body Eating Coach Certification Training.    Interested in becoming a certified coach in eating psychology?
