The platform started out under the banner of NDTV Food as a content website, focusing on recipes, health and fitness articles; and has become the No.1 content site in India. In the current avatar of SmartCooky, the platform offers a mix of its existing articles, recipes and a chance for customers to shop from a wide range of 2000+ products. The e-commerce shop offers products within the health, nutrition, wellness and personal care space, which have been individually handpicked by our in-house experts.

Seema Chandra has been in the food space for over 15 years. She launched NDTV’s food portal www.food.ndtv.com in 2000. She spearheaded its repositioning towards health and grew the site to become the No.1 food content site in India. She recently launched an eCommerce portal called Smartcooky.com which sells healthy foods, snacks and personal care products from around the country.

Seema has also been a food show anchor on television with NDTV 24X7, NDTV India and now NDTV Good Times. She’s travelled the world sampling food and has had no choice but to suffer being filmed while eating. She’s also been told that she can’t lie about the food, as the expression on her face gives her away. Her most favourite show was Guilt Free, which was about making the right food choices, choosing the right ingredients, cooking and eating smart. That’s her food philosophy and it pretty much sums up the ethos behind Smartcooky.
