Today’s Guests: Alia Ott
Alia began educating herself in Real Estate shortly after graduating from college. She was determined early on to create multiple steams of passive income allowing her to have freedom of time and an early “retirement”. By the age of 25, she had bought her first investment property – a tear down/remodel project that taught her to appreciate the expertise of skilled tradesmen and construction engineers. She acted in the role of Owner/General and successfully completed the rebuild/remodel under budget. This served as a catalyst for Alia eventually quitting her day job and converting from a weekend warrior to a serious full time real estate investor in 2011. To date, her enjoyment of real estate development has led to the purchase of over 200 doors, lots and loans, including a Mobile Home Park, dozens of notes and several multi-family properties.
In 2010, Alia co-founded Investors In Action LLC, a real estate education and private lending company for fix & flips in Southern California which has helped fund dozens of local real estate projects. This led to many partnerships that would evolve into further ventures including their investment firm, Inspired Capital Partners, that buys nonperforming notes and private loans.
Over the years Alia has personally been involved in more than $10 million worth of real estate, investing in 15 states doing everything from rehabbing to long-term rentals, to creating and buying real estate loans. While she still enjoys helping out on the occasional development project, she and her partners now focus on the “paper” side of the business – what she fondly refers to as “being the bank” by originating and purchasing notes/mortgages/trust deed investments.
Other leadership ventures include the founding of the “Association of Private Lenders”, a global organization designed to help educate private money investors. “Investors Circle” a San Diego based invite only meet-up group. “The Magic of Money,” an interactive financial literacy program for teens created in conjunction with InvestClub for Women and “Cashflow Divas,” a collaborative community of women focused on financial freedom.
Alia is the co-author of Bestseller “Initiative” with Greg Reid (Author of “Three Feet from Gold” – Napoleon Hill Foundation) and speaks nationally on topics related to private lending, note investing and financial literacy.

Ivan Oberon is the Co-Fouder/Deal Maker of Coast to Coast REIA™ and also owns a real estateinvestment company where he focuses on fix and flips, fix and holds, Contract for Deed and other creative virtual strategies. Ivan Oberon has a particular draw towards helping the brand new person wanting to learn the ropes of real estateinvesting and helping to empower them to make their new dream of real estate investing a reality.
Ivan Oberon began his real estate investing career in San Diego county, California after a 10 year career in the insurance industry as a dually licensed independent insurance agent. Ivan Oberon quickly expanded to Indianapolis and Kansas City and has multiple projects going at any given time.

Scott Travis started in the construction field in 1989 starting his own pool company in California, Built his business there until 2001 when he decided to move to Las Vegas when the construction boom hit that city. Purchased a small Company with 21 customers and proceeded to build to over 500 in less than 3 years. While seeing the growth he wanted to venture out of his comfort zone and add on to the business to incorporate a complete package for his customers, so in 2004 he got his Landscape contractors license.
He then saw an opportunity in Real Estate and purchased his first rental property, attended a few RE seminars and classes to get more knowledge to expand. “I realized I didn’t want to take the long route so I found experts in the field, followed them, duplicated them and now have improved upon them. Scott and Ann to date have rental properties in Michigan, Chicago, Georgia, Indiana, Florida and commercial property in Texas. He still maintains his contractors license in Nevada even though he has transitioned into full time Real Estate Investor and has NEVER had a contractor complaint! Scott is the Back BONE of our Rehab Consulting Service and the Physical side of our R.E. business.
HE is constantly Improving every area that he goes into and willing to share his knowledge to the new rehabber and investor.
