What is a negative truth about yourself you would like to change? We hear a short clip from Zig Ziglar about his past. A past where he referred to himself as, and had his kids call him, fat boy. Why? Because he was overweight. He then talks about how we see ourselves. From This I asked on Facebook, “What is a negative truth about yourself you would like to change?” It was a question I was concerned would not get much response. Instead I got inundated with incredibly frank responses. Here is a sampling: I'm impatient, I react emotionally to everything, I keep reacting poorly to my wife, I'm waiting for things to be perfect, I create too much drama, I procrastinate, I struggle to balance optimism vs reality, I build a wall and don't know how to have meaningful relationships...it keeps going. The struggle truly is real.” Those are just clips, you will want to hear the details of what people shared. Just tremendous. From this the question that arose was this, “Is admitting really the first step?” That’s the age old cliche’, isn’t it? So now that you are aware and actually admit, are you a step closer to changing? I had Michelle Prince join me to talk through your comments and this issue.
