In our last episode of season 20, we chat with Scott who shares his spine-chilling encounter with a Yowie in Moorpark Beach, near Bundaberg, Queensland, in September 2022. Initially moving to escape city life, Scott's routine fishing trip turned into a night of terror when he encountered what he initially mistook for a bear, an absurd thought in Australia, at dawn. This creature, walking on all fours before standing upright at over three meters tall, exhibited both bear and orangutan-like features but with a human-like gaze.
This silent, menacing figure, after making direct eye contact with Scott and emitting a blood-curdling screech, darted away with incredible speed and grace. Scott details his subsequent obsession with understanding what he saw, touching on the regional folklore around Yowies or Bunyips, as well as his isolation and determination to find others with similar experiences. His encounter brings forward discussions about the existence of such creatures, the impact of witnessing something so paradigm-shifting, and a shared moment of validation and camaraderie among those who have experienced the unexplainable.

In this episode, we chat with Dave, who begins as a skeptic of the paranormal, only to have his beliefs challenged through encounters with a white witch named Chrissie. It all starts in country Victoria in the late 80s, when Dave and his partner, Tanya, befriend Chrissie, reported to be a white witch with the ability to communicate with the dead and foresee the future. Skeptical at first, Dave's curiosity leads him to participate in a seance organized to communicate with his recently deceased father. The session delivers inexplicable messages personally significant to Dave, deeply affecting him. 
Following this, Dave experiences an entity's presence during another visit with Chrissie, further affirming the reality of the paranormal in his life. This episode sets him on a path of spiritual and existential exploration, leading to insights about past lives and the nature of human existence. Dave's initial skepticism transforms into a nuanced understanding of reality, marked by personal growth and a newfound acceptance of the paranormal and the mysteries of life.

Unlike typical hauntings localized to one area, Adam's situation challenges the norm, suggesting that some entities might attach to individuals. Starting from his first eerie encounters in a new unit at 24, involving unexplainable shadows and a terrifying experience with a black swirling cloud, Adam recounts how these paranormal activities escalated over time.
Despite moving and hoping for a fresh start, similar occurrences, including objects moving on their own and unsettling encounters, continued in subsequent residences, affecting not only him but also his partner. Adam also delves into the impact of these experiences on his life, emphasizing his attempts to maintain a normalcy by focusing on work and family, and how he mentally managed the fear and anxiety provoked by these incidents.

S20E8: A Journey Through Persistent Hauntings

In this episode, Ray shares her family's terrifying experiences after moving into a haunted house in Townsville in 2017. Despite being a relatively new property, various paranormal activities progressively escalate, affecting Ray, her two teenage sons, and even their pet dog.
These incidents range from mysteriously opened cupboard doors and whispering voices to physical manifestations, including a pet’s tongue unnaturally manipulated and a demonic sighting. The intensity of these encounters leads to a palpable sense of fear and anxiety, pervading even through daylight hours. Despite the house being new, the sheer frequency and nature of these incidents suggest a powerful, possibly sinister presence tied more to the land itself than the physical house.
