There is concern the pursuit of fame is contributing the rising number of children being kicked out of school.
New figures show that after a decade of falling expulsion rates, the number of students being stood down or expelled from school for violence is on the rise - with more than seven kids per thousand being booted out.
PPTA president Jack Boyle told Mike Hosking it is concerning but not surprising, and he is putting it down to a number of factors.
"One of those is that it appears there's a fast way to get famous amongst some young people and that's to smack someone and put it up on social media."
