Jason Dennen worked in the financial industry… and if he was being honest, it was soul-crushing work. So when he discovered a love for a new hobby - skydiving, no less! - he was thrilled that he found something to help light him up again.

What he couldn’t have known was that, shortly, it would also nearly take his life when a rogue wind would blow him wildly off course, causing him to break 20 bones, live in a coma for eight days, and then remain in the hospital for over three months fighting for his life.

If the story ended there, it would be interesting enough… but alas…

What Jason did next was even more incredible.

After being told by his doctor he may never be able to walk again, he decided to sign up for a triathlon. Yup... a TRIATHLON!! Less than one year after the accident... he completed that triathlon and proved the doctor wrong. 

The long journey to recovery from the accident allowed him time to reassess the direction of his life and ask himself that critical question: "why was my life spared?" This second chance at life revealed to him a new purpose in life… and a new sense of gratitude.
