Last year’s virtual convention forced us to postpone the Hall of Fame banquet. In order to celebrate the 2021 class we did a series of podcasts with the inductees. We are using Christmas break here to reissue last year’s episodes to once again celebrate the 2021 class. We are so excited for the Chicago convention and to be able to honor the 2021 and 2022 classes at the Hall of Fame banquet on Friday January 7th. Weinstein is an ambassador for the game around the world and his resume reads like a wish list for any coach. He coached in a College World Series with Miami as an assistant coach and, as a head coach at Sacramento City College, won 831 games, 16 league titles, a national championship and had 213 players drafted, including 28 big leaguers. He has also coached in the Cape Cod League, coached with Team USA, and was the manager for Team Israel in the World Baseball Classic. Craig Noto - Head Coach, Wagner College

This week on the ABCA Podcast is Connors State head coach, Perry Keith. Keith has over 1700 wins in 36 seasons as head coach at Connors State. Keith currently ranks first in wins among active NJCAA baseball coaches and is believed to be the youngest collegiate baseball coach to reach the 1000-win plateau at the age of 42. Keith has guided the Cowboys to 18 Bi-State East Conference championships, eight Region II titles and six appearances at the Div. I JUCO World Series. Keith has coached 40 NJCAA All-Americans with over 120 players drafted and thirteen former players making it to the Major Leagues. The Cowboys are off to a hot start in 2024 with a 29-3 record and hitting close to .400 as a team.
