Joe Leurs: Purple Heart Marine, retired Army Reserves, retired Nashville Metro Police Gang Unit Detective & Entrepreneur
Joe Leurs is a combat Marine Corps NCO, received a Purple Heart from an injury sustained in Iraq, retired Army Reserves, and retired Metro Nashville PD Gang Unit Detective.
He's also an Entrepreneur/Inventor of a life-saving product and recently a candidate for US congressional District 7 in Tennessee.
We discussed his time in the Marine Corps, 31st MEU, special ops, 1st Marine Division, his time in the Army and then his time embedded undercover detective in the Nashville Metro PD Gang Unit. He has been called on to testify against gang members in state and Federal courts and he's working on a Master's degree and another field of service!
His daughter also joins us on the mic to share her favorite memory of her dad and how she found out he was a police officer.
