"Opportunity makes the difference" -- that's the mantra of Jordan P. Ferrarini, executive director of Trades for a Difference, a unique Philadelphia nonprofit that is dedicated to providing education and training to young people interested in the construction industry.

The aging of the Baby Boomers is leading to waves of skilled tradespeople retiring and there aren't enough young people waiting in the wings to take over their roles. In fact, it's predicted that millions of jobs will go unfilled in the coming decade to the increased demand for skilled tradespeople.
