This week’s ABCA Podcast is with 2021 Collegiate Baseball News Rawlings Pitching Coach of the Year, Fairfield University’s Jordan Tabakman. 2021 was a magical season for Fairfield and a lot of that had to do with their pitching staff. Their starting rotation was 28-4 last year with 9 shutouts and 8 complete games. Fairfield was awarded an at large bid and if you follow the Division I landscape, you know how hard that is to do for a mid-major program. Fairfield’s run ended in the NCAA Regional Finals. Tabakman has also spent time at Albany, Amherst College and UConn. Tabakman competed collegiately at UConn. We cover all things pitching in this episode. This is a deep dive into the yearly calendar, pitch development, throwing program, drills, bullpens, practice planning in cold weather, recovery and in season staff management. The ABCA Podcast is presented by Netting Pros.
