The Wisdom of God and the Spirit of God — 1 Corinthians 2:6–3:4
If we want God’s wisdom to shape our lives, decisions, and beliefs, we can’t access it on our own. Paul reminds the Corinthians—and us—that the Spirit of God is essential for both receiving and living out God’s wisdom.
In this message, we explore two key ministries of the Spirit:
- The indwelling of the Spirit — God’s permanent presence in the believer, enabling us to truly grasp and accept His wisdom.
- The filling of the Spirit — the believer’s daily posture of humility and surrender, allowing the Spirit to guide our thoughts, actions, and desires.
We’ll see why simply having the Spirit isn’t enough if we’re not yielding control to Him, and why our spiritual growth stalls when we resist His leadership.
