The commandment 14 Do not commit adultery - we need to cherish the covenant of marriage. Marriage is for God and from God. It is meant to glorify God. The Scriptures opens with a wedding, between Adam and Eve and also ends with a wedding, between Christ and his bride the Church. It is God who gives us marriage. We should seek to understand his purposes for it.
