In today’s episode, Pastor Cory Barnes shares a devotion from Ephesians 1, reflecting on Paul’s prayer for the believers in Ephesus. Though the Ephesian church had experienced extraordinary miracles, revival, and powerful demonstrations of the Holy Spirit, Paul’s greatest prayer for them was not for more outward manifestations, but for a deeper inward revelation of God. He prayed that the Holy Spirit would give them “the spirit of wisdom and revelation” so that they might know Christ more fully. This message reminds listeners that while it is good to believe God for miracles, provision, healing, and breakthrough, we must also make room for the Holy Spirit to reveal the character, nature, and heart of God to us personally. As we grow in the knowledge of who He is, we are transformed into His likeness and become more like Him in the way we live, speak, and love.
