It’s Rosh Hashanah!

I’m supposed to be off!

And another major news event has once again highlighted my habit of picking the very worst timing possible!

There was only one thing to do: sit right down and read the extraordinary narrative laid out in Special Counsel Jack Smith’s motion in opposition to Trump’s claims of presidential immunity in the January 6th case.

Well, two things to do: the second one being to hit the record button.

So that’s what I did. Two hours of cramming in as much of the motion as I could, so that you could work, putter around the house, or whatever it is you do, and still go word-for-word through the first 60 pages or so of this stem-winder!

There’s still more, of course. And there’s still Friday!

But then, another troublesome thought occurred to me: how could I ask Scott Anderson to summarize the show, when only one thing happened, and only one source was used?

And this post is the only answer I could come up with. Maybe he’ll have a better idea if we do it again tomorrow.
