John the Baptizer asked if Jesus was the one to come. His questioning doubt is on display in our Gospel reading from Matthew 11:2-15. John's honesty is helpful for us—it gives voice to the doubts and the questions that we don’t want to acknowledge. If they stay hidden, they tend to grow and fester. What questions do you have that you won't speak out loud? What doubts do you keep hidden in the dark? Even when we are filled with questions and doubts, Jesus is holding on to us, reminding us that resurrection is coming. Trust Him. Keep waiting, friends.
