Artist Kehinde Wiley joins us to discuss his artistic practice, his new show at the St. Louis Art Museum titled, Kehinde Wiley: Saint Louis, and his having recently received Harvard’s W.E.B. Du Bois Medal.

Slate’s culture editor Forrest Wickman (at 16:00) joins us to discuss Slate’s "The New American Songbook," a list of 30 songs from the past 25 years that the magazine predicts will be the oldies of the future and the songs that we’ll listen to for the next 100 years.

Beowulf Sheehan (at 24:30) joins us to discuss Author: The Portraits of Beowulf Sheehan. Sheehan is known as a literary portrait photographer, having made portraits of such literary luminaries as Roxane Gay, Masha Gessen, Patti Smith, Zadie Smith, Karl Ove Knausgaard, J.K.
