The looming leadership challenge facing Malcolm Turnbull is a case of not if, but when.
Australian Immigration Minister Peter Dutton is expected to challenge the Prime Minister for the top job.
It follows months of falling poll numbers for the government coalition.
Sky's Kieran Gilbert told Mike Hosking the only unknown is how long the process will take.
"The individuals that I've been speaking to the last 24 hours are almost certain that there's going to be something happening, and I believe that it will happen."
However, Dutton could be ineligible to even be in Parliament.
Experts say he could be breaking MP rules by being the beneficiary of a government-funded childcare trust.
Gilbert says it's unclear if that's the case or not.
"The people raising these constitutional concerns being some of the eminent experts, however, [Dutton] feels he's got appropriate legal advice."
