DB: You are listening to languagecaster.com’s football-language podcast. Welcome everyone to our curtain raiser – the first podcast of the new 2019-20 season. My name’s Damon and you’re listening to the Learn English Through Football podcast; a podcast for all those who love the beautiful game of football and who are aiming to improve their English language skills. I’m in a sweltering Tokyo with temperatures in the mid-thirties every day. But, club football is back and I managed to watch three matches this weekend – Liverpool versus newly-promoted Norwich City, West Ham’s game against Manchester City and Tottenham’s opener with another promoted side, Aston Villa. Now, down the line in London is Damian. I wonder if he watched the same games? Damian, how are you and did you manage to see any games yesterday?
