Diane Wong and Pharaoh Saunders of Let's Talk about Race welcome Dr. Jennifer Cole on Friday, April 16. We will talk about Climate and Racial Justice.

In our Friday, April 16 discussion of Climate and Racial Justice you'll hear about the challenges of this global atmospheric phenomenon, but also the many exciting opportunities that come about as a result of climate change. We will hear about jobs created, engineering innovations, art opportunities, and architectural solutions.

Jennifer Cole is concurrently faculty in the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University. Dr. Cole was Director of the Environmental Studies Program at Northeastern for fifteen years and has also taught at Tufts and MIT.

Dr. Cole holds a Ph.D. in groundwater geochemistry from Syracuse University and has published extensively in the fields of wetlands, agriculture, energy education, and natural disasters.

She also has served as an expert witness in wetlands and river protection act litigation. She was a Senior Hydrologist at Weston.

and Sampson Engineers. She has given many invited talks, including at the US Environmental Protection Agency. She represented Harvard’s Department of Earth and Planetary Sciences at the White House on two occasions.
